British Science Week
Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their celebration of British Science Week, and took part in two experiments to observe change. First, they made 'Fizz Balloons' out of bicarbonate soda and vinegar. They didn't have to wait long to see the change happen. As you can see by some of their faces, they couldn't believe that the balloons inflated! Then, we left some cabbage leaves to soften in water, and added drops of it to sugar, vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonate soda. The children discovered that the lemon juice was acidic, and the bicarbonate of soda was alkaline - which we could tell by the colour change! Thank you parents and carers for supporting our British Science Week event.
