Rather than a set of rules by which children must abide, at Kidgate we believe it is important for both staff and children to talk in terms of our Expectations. In doing so we develop a positive ethos, where we can 'publicly praise positive' elements of the Expectations, whilst 'discussing disappointment discretely' when actions or behaviour do not quite meet the expected level.
Our 5 Expectations
We will speak with kindness, compassion and honesty.
We will listen with attention, courtesy and follow instructions.
We will act with thought, respect and understanding.
We will learn with pride, passion and perseverance.
We will play with care, consideration and inclusion.
