This week, Year 5 learnt about Athenian democracy, where they were able to share their views on whether all citizens should be able to vote. After some brilliant debating and articulate points made by the children, they then took part in their own direct democracy and placed a 'pebble' into the jar to cast their vote. The motion was passed, winning by 2 votes!
