April 2016- Cooking. As part of our Summer Term Topic 'Explorers and Adventurers' we decided to cook food that explorers may have eaten during their expeditions. Each group was able to make a different dish (traditional to a Country an explorer had visited) and then the whole class took part in an explorers banquet! The bannock (bread) was the most popular!

April 2016- Science Week. As part of National Science Week we invited parents to join in with some exciting Science activities linked to our Forces topic.

February 2016- Our trip to the Collection Museum, in Lincoln. To help us develop our understanding of life in Ancient Egypt we took part in a number of exciting activities. These included acting out the story of Osiris, making our own Egyptian necklaces and mummifying a body! We all had a great time.

January 2016- As part of the Big Garden Birdwatch for the RSPB the children had a visit from a local expert. The children found out about birds, their diets and even made their own bird feeders to hang in the school garden! Several weeks later the bird feeders had nearly all disappeared (the birds must have been hungry!)

December 2015- Year 3 Christmas Showcase. We had a great time sharing jokes, memories and singing Christmas Songs!

Enterprise December 2015- this led up to our market day on Friday 4th December. To get to this point we had to make the same decisions as a real business; from voting for our favourite products to manufacturing and marketing them, it was safe to say the Year 3 Santalicious Stall was a great success! Thank you so much to all those family members who joined us on Friday and purchased from our stall. The children worked very hard to make our products and really appreciated you all coming along and spending your money with us.

As part of the topic 'How our bodies work' we created sculptures in the style of Henry Moore. Here are some of our poses and drawings!

What an exciting few weeks in Year 3! We have been learning how to work as part of a team by creating a spaghetti tower; designing and making resources for our reading corner and labelling our bones using chalk in the playground!
