A group of nine children from the Year 5 & 6 after-school Rugby Club, including two players who have never played before, took part in their first ever Rugby Tournament at London Road. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day and tried their best throughout. The attitude and behaviour of the children was exemplary and they were a credit to the school. Excellent sportsmanship was also on display and the children were proud to receive the trophy for most sporting team in the event (one of our players, unprompted, even chased after the referee at the end to shake hands with him). Mr Fieldsend and Miss Giles were delighted with the efforts and commitment of everyone involved.
The event took place on Armistice Day, 11th November, and the children observed an impeccable two-minutes' silence prior to kick off.
