Christmas Carol Service

On Tuesday 15th December we all went to St James Church to take part in our annual carol and nativity service. The children were fantastic as they read the story of Christmas and acted out the key parts. Reverend Chris led the service and helped us to think of the message behind the Christmas Story.

Jewish Visitor

Mr Griffiths our visitor from the Jewish Faith came to our school on Wednesday 2nd December. He talked to the children all about Judaism and especially about Hannukah. The children all listened attentively and asked some thoughtful questions. They enjoyed finding out about the special foods and games played at Hannukah.

The Indian Experience

Sunita Patel visited our school on October 6th and led an assembly for KS1 on Diwali and the festival of light. It was a fascinating experience as Sunita taught us all a special dance and explained all about Rama and Sita.

The children found out about India and some of the Hindu Gods too.

Later Sunita led an Indian workshop for Year4 to link with their topic of Diwali and Christmas. They learnt Indian dancing and also had some time to ask Sunita questions about Hinduism and India.
